Powercube offers MT Series DC–to–DC Converters for Telecom Applications
Powercube’s MT Series DC–to–DC converters are fully compatible with Tyco FC/FW full–brick footprints, yet offer better protection features, additional input voltage options and lower cost.
Powercube, a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality DC–to–DC converters and AC–to–DC power systems, offers the MT Series of DC–to–DC converters. Available in metal cases for outstanding EMI performance, the MT Series offers power ratings of 50, 100, and 150 Watts. These units are ideal dor board mounting and distributed power systems in telecom applications.
The MT Series converters are pin–for– and mounting compatible with Tyco FC and FW full–brick converters, yet offer more advanced features. These features include over–temperature thermal shutdown and over–voltage protection for more reliable power system operation, a “power good” signal option, and positive or negative logic shutdown for implementing remote on/off control. The are also available with a broader range of input options, adding 150 and 300 Volt capacity to the standard 24 and 48 Volt offered by Tyco devices. In addition, all MT Series converters are priced less than equivalent Tyco devices.
Powercube’s MT Sreies converters can be obtained with output ratings of 3,5,12,15,24 and 28 VDC. All units employ a fixed frequency topology operating at 375 kHz, and achieve effeciency of up to 90 percent. Total isolation of input, output, amd metal cover is provided for exceptionally rugged operation.
A typical 150 Watt MT Series DC–to–DC converter costs just $127 in 100 unit quantities. Samples for all power, input and output levels are available off–the–shelf, with volume orders currently 30 days ARO.
Powercube, headquartered in Chatsworth, California, specializes in the development of high performance DC to DC converters and power supply solutions for use in a wide range of applications, including telecommunications, instrumentation, networks, computers, and avionics. Founded in 1967, the company is now a division of Natel Engineering Co., Inc.
